Team Capacity Snapshot · Example edition

Plan the week with room to finish.

This fictional three-person team plans one week at a time. Available hours already exclude leave and recurring meetings. Committed hours are estimates for the named work, not a measure of individual performance.

The team has 14 unallocated hours across 82 available hours. Sam has the largest buffer, but work should move only when the skills and handover cost make sense.

Protect the assumptions

Do not add a full working week on top of the available-hours figure. Leave and meetings have already been removed. Revisit commitments when a task grows or an unexpected support request arrives.

A practical adjustment

Keep Leo’s remaining two hours for review and interruptions. Ask Sam to prepare the workshop checklist if the handover is small. Confirm the change with both people before treating it as the new plan.
